Short Break Walking Holidays

A few days on the trail, with your accommodation, luggage transfer and route notes arranged.

Celtic Trails

Short Break Walking Holidays Made Simple

Your time away may be short, but the walk should still feel like a journey. Our short break walking holidays let you follow selected sections of longer trails, or spend a few days walking through coast, countryside, hills or historic landscapes. They suit a long weekend, a first self-guided walking holiday, or a shorter escape when a full trail is too much to fit in.

Celtic Trails has arranged self-guided walking holidays since 1997. For each short break, we take care of the main details before you set off:

  • We book your accommodation along the route.
  • Your main bag moves ahead to the next stop, so you walk with only what you choose to carry.
  • Where transfers between the path and your accommodation are needed, we arrange them in advance.
  • You receive a walk pack with route notes, mapping and practical information for each day.
  • You walk independently, at your own pace, with the reassurance that the essentials have been planned.

Choose your short break

The walks below are a selection of our shorter itineraries. If a route catches your eye, visit the walk page to see the full range of options, or use Find Your Walk to narrow things down by area, duration and difficulty.
