After breakfast you will be transferred to Llanthony Priory to start your day. It’s a picturesque drive through country lanes to the secluded valley in the Vale of Ewyas.Explore the 900 year old ruins before making the steep ascent of Hatterrall Ridge. Miles of easy, high level walking will follow. Skylarks singing overhead and outstanding views across the Black Mountains.To end the day you will drop down into the stunning Wye Valley and back to your accommodation. Do remember to bring your walking poles for the final section!

Your second day of walking starts direct from your accommodation along the banks of the Wye. Today includes longer, slower climbs through some beautiful countryside. You’ll pass through the villages of Newchurch and Gladestry and on to Hergest Ridge, the inspiration for Arthur Conan Doyle’s Hound of the Baskervilles.Ending the day at the market town of Kington, our driver will meet you once again and return you to your accommodation. Kington forms part of the ‘Black and White’ trail, which includes some of the prettiest villages in England made up of half-timbered houses.
