Itinerary Details
From Palma de Mallorca airport, you will travel to the town of Valldemossa on the north west coast either by public bus or private taxi (not included). This small historical town is built around an old Carthusian monastery and was famously visited by Chopin, providing plenty of points of interest. Your accommodation is located approximately 2.5km outside the town, in a beautiful old building, with lovely areas for relaxation and dinner included.
- AccommodationValldemossa
Your week begins with an inland circular walk in the region surrounding Valldemossa. This historic route was designed by Archduke Ludwig Salvator, in the 19th century and provides spectacular views out to the sea as well as a good selection of flora. Weather permitting, there is also an optional extension to today's walk with an ascent of the Pico El Teix (+1.6 miles/2.5km).

On day 3 you will begin your journey north along the wonderful coastline. Depending on how long you’d like to walk for, you will be taken by taxi to Deia beach, Deia village or for a shorter walk, Llucalcari. This coastal route will take you through mediterranean woodland and across a private estate serving its own fresh orange juice, for a refreshing break. Your final destination is the small town of Puerto Sóller, a beautiful and vibrant harbour town typical of the mediterranean. You will be able to walk directly to your accommodation, which is located right on the harbour front with splendid views out to sea.

- AccommodationPort Sóller
Today's route is an exploration of the coastline north of Puerto Sóller. Your taxi will take you to the beautiful hidden beach at Cala Tuent. From there, follow the trail south along the coastline, before heading inland to hike amongst the orange groves and almond trees of one of Mallorca’s most remote valleys. Upon reaching the town of Sóller, you have the option of continuing your walk onto Puerto Sóller or taking a scenic train for the last part of your journey (train fare not included).

For your final day in this area, your circular walk takes in some of the best views around Puerto Sóller. The day begins with a steep ascent up the cliffs to enjoy the wonderful coastal views, which include rocky outcrops and views out to the tiny island of S’Illetta. Descend down a deep ravine to 'Sa Punta Llarga', in order to complete your walk back to Puerto Sóller at sea level.

Day 6 takes you inland to explore the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range, which brings so many adventurers to this area. Your taxi takes you a short distance inland to the magnificent Lake Cuber. A perfect turquoise in colour, and surrounded by craggy mountains, the landscape here is beautiful and quite like anything you have seen so far. From the lake, take the well marked high route towards the village of Lluc, enjoying wonderful views of the mountain range along the way, including Mallorca’s highest peak, Puig Major. At Lluc, discover a wonderful old monastery as well as Mallorca’s patron saint, the Black Madonna. A taxi then takes you up to your next accommodation, a charming hotel in the historic town of Pollença.

- AccommodationPollença
Your final day is a choice between two shorter walks around the coast. The easier of the two explores the nature reserve, birdlife conservation area and private beach of the Valle Boquer, with the route ending in a leisurely stroll across Port Pollença's beautiful seaside promenade. The longer of the two, beginning in Cala ses Barques, follows a wide gravel track west to the point of Puig d'Aguila, a fantastic vantage point over the Formentor Peninsula as well as the rugged shoreline of Sant Vincenç and Port Pollença. From there, retrace your route back to Cala ses Barques and Cala Sant Vincenç, before crossing over to Port Pollença via Siller Pass (elevation 76m).
