Day 214.4 miles (23.2 km)

You will be collected from your accommodation after breakfast and transferred to Llangynidr to begin your walk. It’s going to be strenuous, but rewarding. The views are incredible as you move up through woods onto the ridge overlooking Talybont Reservoir. Test your legs again on Craig y Fan Ddu before reaching Pen y Fan. You can detour slightly to Fan y Big for a photo opportunity at the ‘Diving Board’ rock. As you descend Pen y Fan down to Storey Arms, our driver will meet you and return you to Brecon for a well-earned rest.

Day 314.8 miles (23.8 km)

Today you escape the busier parts of the Beacons Way; the route is slightly kinder on the knees as you head to the summit of Craig Cerrig-gleisiad and the ridge of Fan Dringarth and Fan Llia. You may even have the whole area to yourself. Descend Fan Llia down to Sarn Helen - a Roman road, whilst underneath your feet lies a major cave system and rare limestone pavement. You will walk through the Ogof Ffynnon Ddu National Nature Reserve before ending the day at Craig-y-nos Country Park where our driver will meet you once again and return your accommodation. If you prefer to travel home at the end of day two, rather than stay another night, choose itinerary BW-BRE2
